About PSC Trial Watch
Why I built this
[OWNER STORY PLACEHOLDER — write in your own words: living with PSC and IBD, what it was like trying to read ClinicalTrials.gov, why you want other patients to find trials faster.]
PSC Trial Watch is run by a patient, for patients and caregivers. Most people with PSC also have IBD, so this site covers both, side by side.
How it works
- Every day, the site pulls every recruiting and not-yet-recruiting PSC, Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis study from the public ClinicalTrials.gov API.
- Plain-English cards are generated from the official record with fixed templates. They never add facts that aren’t in the record. All PSC trials, plus the 100 most recently updated IBD trials, get a full card; the rest get a short one for now.
- Pipeline news is checked by hand and always links to its source.
- Distance search uses public U.S. Census ZIP and city centroids and runs entirely in your browser.
Disclaimer
PSC Trial Watch summarizes public records from ClinicalTrials.gov (U.S. National Library of Medicine) in plain English. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for talking with your own doctor. Summaries are generated automatically from the official record and may be incomplete or out of date; the official record and the trial team are always the final word on who can join and what is involved. Listing a trial here is not an endorsement. Never start, stop, or change a treatment based on this site.
If you think a trial might be right for you, bring the official record to your doctor, and contact the trial team listed on ClinicalTrials.gov. If you have a medical emergency, call your local emergency number.

Privacy
No cookies, no analytics, no ad trackers, no third-party scripts. Searches and location filters run on your own device. The newsletter will only ever ask for an email address. We will never ask for a diagnosis or any health information.
Sponsorship & paid placement policy
- Every trial that meets our criteria is listed for free. Nobody can pay to be listed, removed, or ranked higher in search results.
- Sponsors (for example trial recruiters or patient organizations) may buy a clearly marked placement in the newsletter or a “Sponsored” box on the site. Every paid item is labeled Sponsored.
- Sponsors never see subscriber lists, never get any personal data, and have no say over our summaries or news.
- We do not accept sponsorship for unproven treatments sold to patients, supplements making disease claims, or anything outside a registered clinical trial or recognized patient organization.
- Paid placements must link to a ClinicalTrials.gov-registered study or an established organization. We may decline any sponsor.
